Information on the TENCompetence Learning Design Editor. The name of the Editor is "ReCourse".

Downloads:
Latest version released July 3rd 2009 version 2.0.0.
Windows download (requires Java installed on your machine)
Windows download with Java included (use this if you don't have Java installed, don't know or don't care)
Once you've downloaded it, unzip it somewhere and launch the ReCourse executable file.
Requirements:
Windows users - if you have Java 5 or 6 already installed you can use the first Windows download, otherwise choose the second option.
Mac users - make sure you have Java version 5.0 installed and set as the default JVM
Linux users - You'll need Java version 5 or 6 installed on your system first. Probably the Sun version.
New in this version:
+ New Visualiser feature
+ Added SAXParser XML validation to Checker and Package/Publish/Upload dialogs
+ Improvements to LD Checker
+ Double-clicking on an error in the LD Checker opens the corresponding editor tab or Inspector for the object
+ Added a new Warning type to the LD Checker for issues that pass XML validation but are not strictly correct
+ New Resource, New Item, and New Activity wizards have option to create HTML ("webcontent") or XHTML ("imsldcontent") files
+ Resources are set to "imsldcontent" type by default if they have an .xml or .xhtml extension
+ Added Open, Properties, and Conditions buttons to main toolbar
+ If a Property's data type is "boolean" no Restriction types are allowed, and only "true" and false" values are allowed
+ If a Property's data type is "integer" or "real" only valid numbers can be entered
+ If a Global Property is set to "Existing Definition" then the Name in the Properties table is taken from part of the HREF's URI
+ Setting external editor paths in Preferences now respects command lines with parameters and spaces (e.g /usr/bin/myeditor -edit)
+ Setting external editor paths to Shell scripts in Preferences now works on Linux
+ User is warned if LD needs saving before uploading or packaging
+ If advanced Calculation is used in a Change Property Value Type then the simple value field is disabled
+ File format is checked for validity on Open action
+ Now built on Eclipse 3.5 (general improvements, speed and stability)
+ Mac version uses one .app bundle for all sub-folders (except the "docs" folder)
* Fixed: user can now only open files named "imsmanifest.xml"
* Fixed: extra " character added to Properties Copy to Clipboard dialog
* Fixed: New LD wizard not setting Title, Learning Objectives and Prerequisites under some circumstances
* Fixed: Property Ref and Property Value types not allowed to have "is / is not" in front of them in Conditions
