Despite the uncharacteristically wet weather, Spain's capital provided an impressively stylish backdrop for the 4th TENCompetence Open workshop. The presentations are available here

Organised by ALTRAN SDB in conjunction with the University of Amsterdam (UVA), the workshop spanned two whole days. Seventeen papers were earmarked for presentation, fourteen of which were accepted for publication in the proceedings.
Introductions from organizers Miguel Arjona(ALTRAN SDB), Henk Sligte (UvA) and project leader Rob Koper were followed by a presentation from Rob in the form of an interactive competence development scenario designed to demonstrate the purpose and functionality of the Personal Competence Manager. The session highlighted the obstacles faced by an individual wishing to develop competence in a specific domain and focused on the solutions offered by TENCompetence.
