Rethinking Learning and Employment at a time of economic uncertainty: Open Workshop, Manchester, November 19th and 20th 2009

As the project approaches the end of its funding period, a number of events are being organised to show-case the project outcomes.

The TENCompetence Open Workshop, Manchester is co-located with the annual conference of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) and will take place on November 19th and 20th, 2009.

Lifelong Learning: A vision of the future

The rationale, implementation and use of the TENCompetence infrastructure will form the focus of a one-day event in Utrecht on Thursday, 23 April. This event will be hosted by the SURF foundation (NL) and will include presentations from Prof. Dr. Rob Koper, of the Onderwijstechnologisch Expertise Centrum,  and we will hear from large organizations such as Empower Limburg and UNESCO who are currently running business demonstrators with the TENCompetence infrastructure.

TENCompetence Winterschool 2009

On 1-6 February 2009 the third and last TENCompetence Winter School took place in an attractive winter resort near Innsbruck, Austria.

44 people from a range of countries including Canada and Russia took part in the event.

5th TENCompetence Open Workshop - Sofia 2008

The second of two open-workshops held in Sofia, this event set out to identify and analyse state-of-the-art research and technologies in the fields that provide the building blocks for the development of an open source competence development infrastructure.

Run over a two day period, the event included a total of fifteen presentations from TENCompetence partners, Associate Partners and interested parties from outside the project.

Announcement and call for participation in a pilot study

 

This call for participation seeks users of the social bookmarking platform http://www.delicious.com/ who are interested in participating in the pilot study of ReScope (http://lnx-otecexp-005v.ou.nl/rescope/). This study analyzes how reflection on tagging and bookmarking can be stimulated with a personal tag cloud visualisation.
