Welcome to the TENCompetence Foundation

The Foundation exists to support individuals, groups and organisations in Europe in the life-long development of their abilities by developing and promoting the most suitable technical and organisational infrastructure, making use of open-source, standards-based sustainable and innovative technologies.

 

The principal activity of the Foundation is to promote, maintain and develop the Personal Competence Manager, developed in TENCompetence project, funded by the IST Programme of the European Commission.


The Personal Competence Manager

The Personal Competence Manager is a suite of software for individuals, groups and organisations which is

  • Open Source, released under the BSD three clause license

  • Service oriented

  • Standards compliant

  • Integrated with the LifeRay portal

About About

The TENCompetence Foundation was established to sustain the results of the TENCompetence project beyond the end of the funding provided by the European Commission.

 

The TENCompetence Foundation:

  • Provides ownership of the code base and manages the release schedule
  • Facilitates and provides leadership to the TENCompetence developers network
  • Facilitates the TENCompetence user network
  • Further develops the TENCompetence vision to guide future work

The Foundation is governed by the Board, in accordance with the Articles of Association
